- 25+ years of billing and EHR experience
- EMR, scheduling and billing in one software
- Claims checked before they go out
- AI across the practice
- Denial management at the core
- Connect from anywhere, on any platform
The visit note and the bill, on one patient account
The EMR is part of Expedite RCM, not a separate system to connect. What the provider documents is what gets coded and billed, and nobody types the visit in twice.
- Notes written the way each provider likes, typed or dictated
- Clinical photos and drawings on body diagrams, right in the note
- Suggest Codes (AI) suggests codes from the note and checks them against CCI edits and Medicare guidelines before billing
- Orders from the note; a follow-up becomes a reminder to book
- Sign and print; signed visits go straight to billing
- Unsigned notes and open orders wait in each person's work list
We check every claim before it goes out
The checks run when the provider picks the codes, when charges are posted, and again on the claims list before the file is sent, so a problem is fixed while it is still easy to fix.
CCI edits
Codes that should not be billed together are flagged before the claim is built.
Medicare guidelines
Coverage for the diagnosis, how often a service can be billed, and whether the code fits the patient's age and sex.
Your own rules
When a payer keeps denying a certain charge, a rule holds the next one or flags it before it is billed.
A last look before sending
An exceptions list shows the claims that need attention before the file goes out, and a claim the payer rejects comes back as a case to work.
Denial management that works the whole case
A denial is more than a line on a report. In Expedite RCM it is a case with a queue, a deadline and a next step, from the day the remittance is posted until the claim is paid, appealed, corrected or closed.
- Cases are created from posted remittances; nobody keys them in
- Each case is routed to a work queue by payer or insurance class
- Lists are sorted by the days left to appeal or send a corrected claim
- Every denial code carries a recommended next step
The payer denies
The denial arrives on the remittance.
A case is created
Posting the remittance creates the case, grouped by claim and payer.
It reaches the right queue
Routed by payer or insurance class to the people who work those denials.
It is worked by deadline
Correct and rebill, appeal, or send records, with the days left in view.
It closes when it is paid
A paid case closes on its own. A claim denied again comes back to the list.
Deadlines in view
Estimated appeal-by and corrected-claim-by dates count down on every case, with Deadline soon and High dollar lists.
Priority on every case
High, medium or low, from the balance, the deadline and how often that payer later paid that denial code.
Rejections too
A claim rejected by the clearinghouse or the payer before adjudication becomes a case in the same lists.
Pre-bill rules
Turn a denial that keeps coming back into a rule that holds or flags the next such charge before it is billed.
AI drafts the appeal
Ask Jacqueline, the AI agent, to look up a denial case and draft the appeal letter.
Shared work queues
Queue members see every case in the queue. When someone leaves, their cases show as untaken.
Workload at a glance
Open cases by queue and person, and denial totals on the Home dashboard.
Denial reports
Which payers deny most and why, and who worked the cases and how they ended.
AI that helps across your practice
Ask Jacqueline anything about your practice the way you would ask a colleague. The built-in AI agent answers in plain language, turns answers into Excel spreadsheets, creates documents, helps you contest denials, and explains codes, reports and the application itself.
- Ask about your receivables, payers, denials and codes in plain language
- Turn any answer into an Excel spreadsheet
- Contest denials: look up the case and draft the appeal letter
- Find the right report, and get step-by-step help for any task
- Private by default: patient-identifying information is kept out of AI requests unless your practice chooses to allow it
Answers about your practice
Totals for charges, payments and adjustments, for one payer or all of them, over the days you choose.
Works denial cases with you
Lists your queue, opens a case, adds a note or sets a follow-up, and waits for your yes before it changes anything.
Writes the letter
Appeal letters, collection letters, letters of medical necessity, memos and summaries, as Word documents.
Builds the spreadsheet
Any list it has looked up becomes an Excel workbook with filters and real dates and numbers.
Finds the report
Describe what you want to see and it gives you a link that opens the right report or billing screen.
Reads payer policies
Paste the address of a public policy page and ask what it requires.
Everything the billing office does, in one place
Practice management has been our focus for over 25 years. From the first registration to the last payment, each step happens in the same application, on the same account.
Patient accounts
Demographics, coverages, conditions, documents, alerts and notes, with a ledger that shows every charge, payment and adjustment. AI reads demographic sheets; you check.
Learn more →Charges and payments
Post charges in batches, post patient and insurance payments with adjustments and reason codes, and close each period when it is done. AI reads scanned superbills and paper EOBs; you check.
Learn more →Claims and EDI
Check charges before claims are created, exchange files with payers and clearinghouses, and read electronic remittances into payment posting.
Learn more →Statements
Choose who gets a statement, review the list, then print paper statements or send e-statements. Payment plans are built in.
Learn more →Reports
Day sheets, journals, aged receivables, charge and payment analysis, reason code and denial reports, plus your own custom reports.
Learn more →Administration
Roles and per-site access, several sites under one organization, and help on every screen with the F1 key.
Learn more →Scheduling on the same account
The appointment book is part of Expedite RCM. The front desk books, confirms and checks patients in on the same account the billing office works from.
- Daily, weekly and monthly views, with your providers side by side for the day
- The patient's balances and other appointments are in view while you book
- Block time once or every week, and be asked before an appointment is double-booked
- Confirm, check in, mark seen or no-show, and reschedule from the calendar
Built to grow with you
Modern technology underneath, so the system fits a single practice and a billing service with many.
Add sites as you grow
Run several sites and organizations under one sign-in. Each site's data is kept separate.
Big jobs run in the background
Reports, statements and claim runs work as jobs while you carry on with the next task.
Posted in batches, then locked
Charges and payments are entered in batches you check before they post, and a closed period stays closed.
Secure sign-in
Sign-in is protected with multi-factor authentication, and each person sees only what their role allows on each site.
Built for performance
Performance was a design goal from the ground up, not something added later.
A smaller database footprint
Documents and other large data are kept on disk or in blob storage, so each database stays small.
Convert one site at a time
A practice with several sites can move them over one by one, on its own schedule.
Print from anywhere to anywhere
Wherever you are signed in, print to any office printer connected through the Print Service.
It follows the working day
The menu is in the order the work is done, so the application reads like the job.
Register
Add the patient, their guarantor and their insurance coverages.
Post charges
Enter a batch of charges, check them and post them to the ledger.
Bill
Select the charges that are ready and create electronic claims or printed forms.
Post payments
Post remittances and patient payments, with adjustments and the next responsible party.
Follow up
Work denials from the queue, send statements and watch receivables in the reports.
One platform, wherever billing is done
Our clients, and supporting them well, have always been a priority.
Medical practices
Front desk to back office on one account: registration, scheduling, walk-out statements, payment plans, and reports by provider, department and location.
Billing services
Run several sites and organizations from one sign-in, give each person the access they need on each site, and switch between them as you work.
Wherever you work
Expedite RCM runs in your web browser, so you can connect from anywhere, on any platform: the office, home or another site.
